Bidra med feedbackThe vast cocktail menu does feel somewhat outdated, and I wonder if newcomers to the cocktail scene might struggle to navigate its depth. While the glossary is certainly useful, the menu's length and complexity might be a bit much for a casual experience. Given that this bar attracts a certain level of cocktail enthusiast, it may not be the best choice for a simple outing with someone uninitiated. However, if you have a friend who enjoys drinking and wants to explore something unique, this is definitely the place to go in Portland. The quality of the drinks and the level of service are excellent. My last server wasn't as well-versed in the cocktail program as I had experienced on previous visits, but they were still attentive and provided good service.
The drink menu was impressive—definitely one of the best I've seen at a cocktail bar. With over 50 cocktails to choose from, I found it hard to make a decision. I told the waitress that I prefer vodka as my base liquor and enjoy something sweet and refreshing. The bartender crafted a cocktail for me, and let me assure you, it was one of the best drinks I've ever had. It was a vodka-based concoction with raspberry, and it was simply perfect. My husband chose the Pina Colada and absolutely loved it. He also enjoyed several other cocktails, all of which exceeded our expectations. Each drink was not only delicious but also meticulously crafted. The atmosphere of the bar was classic and inviting, adding to the overall experience. Whenever my husband and I reminisce about exceptional cocktails, Teardrop Lounge comes to mind. I would definitely return to Portland just to visit Teardrop again. Without a doubt, some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had place this bar in my top three across America.
Cocktails raised the bar! This is an incredible spot for cocktails. Every aspect of the venue has been meticulously designed, from the menu and the ambiance to the bar setup, the glassware, and of course, the cocktails themselves. Each drink we tried was delicious, well-balanced, and left us wanting more. I highly recommend this place for cocktails, and it's a good idea to make a reservation since it tends to get crowded. My only critique would be that the food we ordered was rather average. Despite being small plates, I believe the food could be significantly improved. However, I won't deduct any stars, as this is primarily a cocktail destination!
Evan was a great bartender (super chatty and very friendly, he made excellent cocktails and the vibe is chill and relaxed. I started with a mezkal old fashion that was just sweet enough and later, after watching her to torment a marshmallow (and to learn that they were made in the house, I ordered an espresso martini that I enjoyed very much. If you are looking for post-dinner (or Pre! drinks in the area, this is the place to check-out.
Son took me here for pre-dinner drinks. Drink menu tells you this is a pretty sophisticated mixologist behind the bar. The server confirms all of that. Went for the Bond Vesper Martini--perfection. Went wild with their MaiTai (which may not have been on the menu but one of my favorites, if you can find a good one). Best Mai Tai in years, even served in a Tiki mug. Prices seemed reasonable. There is food to order but we didn't. Not too noisy. Very attentive staff and were not pushed to order more drinks. A wonder start to a night on the town. Will return.
