Great cheap and cheerful bar. Good drinks at great prices. Staff friendly and very efficient. Bar gets very busy. Food cheap and very tasty. Only negative was toilets which were disgusting.

When we first arrived at out hotel opposite this little bar, we couldn't work out what the attraction was. But as soon as it opened to late at night, it was absolutely PACKED with people sitting inside the cosy interior, sitting at the tables on the pavement, sitting ON the pavement, in shop doorways, on steps, standing in the street. We were determined to find a space and find out for ourselves what was so brilliant about it, and on the last but one day of our stay we spotted someone just leaving a table and raced at the speed of light to grab it before someone else did! The vibe is superb, lots of chatting, laughing, proper cafe bar culture. Wandering musicians come and play at the edge of the crowd, the staff are friendly and efficient. The prices are really reasonable for a city centre bar, and the simple bar food they sell is just so tasty, and also very reasonably priced.

One of our favorite places we’ve been so far in Porto! Great selection of Portuguese cold cuts; definitely try one of theirs open sandwiches as well! Friendly and kind stuff plus everybody speaks English Don’t forget to have cash ready, as they don’t accept cards!

Great to meet the old friends. Very good toasts.
