Bidra med feedbackWe been visiting Porto S. Giorgio over 2 decades now and never been disappointed with any restaurant we went to in this area. For the first time we tried Trattoria Excelsior and we were shocked by what we have experienced. Below is our summary in few words. waiters: fairly polite. service: strange service quality and priority looks for locales and familiar faces. We were lucky enough to notice few locals who arrived half an hour later sitting behind us. We asked a waiter for a small carafe of vino di tavola (house wine). He came back letting us know that no house wine left so we had to buy a full bottle of wine. Then, we noticed another waiter bringing a carafe of vino di tavola to the people they know sitting behind us. We waited for more an hour to get our starters and another hour for our mains. By the time we got our mains the locals sitting behind us were about paying their bills after getting their drinks, starters, mains and desserts. Another big family sitting nearby were disgusted. In summary, watch the space if you are not a local or foreigner. food: nice presentation on the plate but no taste whatsoever. The fish doesn’t look like fresh. We had an impression that is a frozen fish and selfish. Very surprising because this area is well known for the taste and the fresh food, in particular the fish. price : bad value for a money. We had a bad digestion that night and we couldn’t eat the day after.
First night of our holiday we found this nice looking trattoria. The service was extremely slow,grilled fish consisted of four overcooked scraps plus 1 small shrimp. My partner choose diritto misto which wasn't fritto or misto! We also ordered a salad which never arrived...no.apology! To add insult to injury by no means a cheap meal!
Luogo tipico e sempre accogliente con scelte di mobili in stile mare che già si preparano per la degotazione di specialità eccellenti. pesce fresco con incredibili soluzioni di cibo d'oca.
Una serata tra colleghi in una posizione accogliente e molto ben tenuta nel cuore del porto di San Giorgio. personale molto gentile, preparato e attento alle richieste del cliente. ottima cena, antipasti molto buoni, gusto semplice molto raffinato. Un calamaro meraviglioso di una tenerezza indescrivibile. si sciolse in bocca. i primi, fantastici tagliatori. il secondo arrosto e fritto semplicemente bello. Lo consiglio a coloro che vogliono mangiare bene e sentirsi a casa. prezzo eccellente qualità
Nel cuore di Porto San Giorgio locale arredato con estro recuperando vecchi mobili e arredi vintage ma soprattutto con una cucina semplice e ben equilibrata... una menzione speciale va ai “baccalà” cucinati in quattro diversi modi, anche se quello alla portoghese è uno dei piatti più buoni che abbia mai assaggiato da cultore del baccalà e last but not least all’anglosassone un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo
