Tropical Chalet - PORTO SAN GIORGIO

We are so lucky living in Le Marche, the quality of food is really good. We enjoyed a mixed antipasto (starter) and spaghetti con vongole (clams). It all disappeared quickly. An abundance of olive oil in the coming, but it was good. Being in the beach brings something special as well, a different casual comfort somehow.

We had a dinner in this restaurant with some friends on a Saturday night. We ordered 2 antipasti, 1 portion of carbonara with sea food and one pasta marinara. Spaghetti were undercooked and the fish was nothing special. We had 1 wine and 2 bottles of water with our meal and 4 coffees after dinner. The final bill was around 90€, we found out at the cash machine that they charged us for 4 pasta rather than 2 the we asked for. Disappointing, I would not recommend this place. You can find much better around this area!

A wonderful meal with good food served by pleasant staff. The first courses are super and the fish is fresh and not frozen. They serve seasonal fish. The dessert was also very good. The wine of the house is also very good value.

We have eaten at the Tropical on more than one occasion and usually the food and service are excellent. Unfortunately this time, whilst the quality of the food maintained its high standard, the service was dire. Long waits for food that arrived at the table in dribs and drabs and only then after prompting, and some orders never came. The staff were very apologetic and we were given a discount on the bill but not such a poor standard is not acceptable. Worth trying for the atmosphere and food, and hopefully this was just a one off.

Great restaurant. You have to wait a few... But worth it! Food is very good (in particular Spaghetti con vonglole). It isn't an expensive place.
