Pizzeria Montesole - PORTO VALTRAVAGLIA

Very nice lake view, ambience on outside terrasse is fantastic. Very good food and friendly staff. They serve normal Italien dishes and they have a huge selection of Pizza. Seafood dishes are very tasty. Food has normal prices and is really very tasty. I was there several times and can recommend this place at any time. I also recommend to share primo piatto with two people, they charge a little more per person if you split, but otherwise you will not finish your second dish. The best you call for a reservation, otherwise it will be probably not easy to get a table, specially on terrasse. Don't be worry to call, they all speak very good German and English

We went for lunch here on a sunny Saturday without a reservation. The restaurant was extremely busy but the waiter found us a table so that was appreciated. The restaurant is very big and so there were many tables to be served but certain aspects were overlooked for example our table cloth was full of stains (drops of wine or vinegar . This didn't give me a sense of cleanliness of the space at all. The waiter brought us the wrong water and we saw one trying to block the sun coming inside the room by sticking a table cloth inside the window I mean!!?? There's other solutions. Once the starter came (the mixed seafood platter , I was very disappointed. They tried to do something out of the box by mixing flavours together (mango, avocado and other sauces.. , how they did it, it made no sense, it tasted very weird. And the presentation was odd. My main was a pan fried white fish with rice. The fish was flavourless, they totally forgot to put any salt or pepper in the batter. The portion was not very generous. The dessert was also disappointing again the flavours were so unbalanced and consistency terrible! My Amaretto semifreddo had a weird texture and extremely hard to cut. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a local fish restaurant this is very basic and not attentive to quality.

Ottimo ristorante...posto meraviglioso personale veramente professionale...!

Aperitivo e cena d'anniversario di Matrimonio in una splendida location! Personale gentilissimo e molto preparato nel consigliarci sia sui piatti (molto ricercati) che sul vino da abbinarci. Come antipasti tartare di bufala con salsa al mango e gamberi marinati e battuta di salmone su schiacciata di patate alla menta e biscotto di frolla al nero di seppia. Come primi paccheri al datterino giallo, olive pescespada e lime e tagliolini al nero di seppia con cruditè di gambero, granella di noci e pomodorini Pachino. Tutto molto buono, anche se i paccheri erano leggermente indietro di sale (ma compensati dalle olive). Torneremo per provare le specialità di terra.
