Bidra med feedbackI purchased some fantastic pastries from this vendor at the Portsmouth Farmers' Market.
Delicious yet somewhat pricey hidden gem. As someone who's gluten-free, I found their small tarts to be excellent! The gluten-free scones are decent. However, I wouldn't recommend the chicken stew, as it consists mainly of pre-diced peas and carrots, with half of it being mashed potatoes. It’s better to focus on the sweet and savory tarts instead. While gluten-free diners often face limited options, the cookies they offer are also quite worthwhile.
Peanut butter and Nutella cookie (gluten free) was spot-on. My wife tried the cranberry ginger iced tea and really liked it. Cozy and comfortable yet with high ceilings is a mix of old world charm and modern style. Bonus points for using biodegradable straws! Great place to stop in for a drink
This lunch was fantastic! My tomato, bacon, and onion jam tart exceeded all my expectations for a museum café. It was filled with delicious ingredients and perfectly encased in a crunchy corn crust. The accompanying salad was generous and featured fresh, crisp greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers, all dressed with just the right amount of balsamic vinaigrette. My meal was served promptly, and the dining area was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was an excellent meal at a great price!
Tucked inside the art studios along the Salmon Falls River, Figtree serves a variety of delicious sandwiches, wraps and daily specials, all freshly made. A couple of my favorites are the buffalo chicken wrap and the veggie quesadilla. If you find yourself in this quiet gem of a town, this is the ideal lunch spot.
