Toscana Chop House - Portsmouth

Lovely dinner. Sat at bar and as always had interesting conversations with other patrons. Especially want to complement bartenders Marc. Tim, and Nathan who kept us amused and fed.

Really nice ambiance. Staff is very friendly, polite and professional. Food is outstanding and presentation is lovely. Overall, an excellent experience!

This was our first time at Toscana Chop House and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, everything was amazing. I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly with a generous seasoned crust. My husband had the tomahawk ribeye; also cooked perfectly to his liking and it was quite the sight to see as it was brought out to the table. We shared sides of asparagus and mascarpone mashed potatoes and finished the evening with tiramisu and brûléed cheesecake. I love cheesecake and get it everywhere we go but I have to say, hands down, this was the best piece of cheesecake I’ve ever had. Also, a big shout out and thank you to our server, Spencer. He was a rockstar!

The service was a little slow, albeit friendly, for a very busy Monday night. The food was well prepared and well presented and everything was delicious, qualifying for a James Beard award in my opinion. The restaurant is comfortable, calmly lit and a typical cucina, meaning bustling and noisy in a pleasant way. Definitely will return.
