Bidra med feedbackI do not often feel compelled to write reviews, but I believe it is important to make it known if you have had an exceptionally good or bad experience with a business. Interestingly, I had both on a Saturday night in River City Lanes. I was part of a big group that came to a birthday party on Saturday. We were told that there would be a waiting period of about an hour, I thought this was reasonable and sensible in view of our party size. During this hour we sat in the bar and got food and drinks. Both were fantastic. Also our server was great and I was very happy at this point. After an hour we checked the track availability again and were told that our waiting would last at least one hour. Okay, a bit of a bummer, but makes sense on Saturday without a hint of reservation. I had paid for a few other people in our party to bowl because they weren't quite there when we were on the waiting list. Unfortunately, the other people I paid for were not able to wait the second hour or more until the track was available and ended a bit early. We went to the reception and were greeted by a very unpleasant older woman who was probably in her 60s or something. We asked for a refund for the 3 person bowls for which we had paid, who would not be able to visit if the track was available. We didn't think it would turn into such a matter to get a refund for a service we paid for and not to receive. I understand that this was not the fault of River City Lanes, but seems like a customer service no brains to reimburse 3 people's bowling from a party of 12 if they don't BOWLING. It was like pulling teeth with this older woman at the reception that again, was not friendly, helpful or take care of a bit. Finally, she told us that we would be able to get a refund once we finished bowling. Why does that have to be done when we're done and not now? I don't know, but didn't want to argue or be difficult, so we waited to finish before we returned to the reception. I think it is important to note that the tone of this woman is unpleasant, too flat from rude and would not even look at us while we are talking to us at the end of the conversation. After completion we went to the reception to another person who was more pleasant but also not helpful. We received a gift card for the amount paid for the people who are unable to bowl. A. GIFT. CARD. For a service we paid and not received. This is not how transactions take place. I asked that we used this money back to the method of payment originally and was told that this was not an option. We have mentioned that the old, rude lady from our first interaction never mentioned that our refund would essentially be credit to a place where at that time I had very little interest in coming back to the reception after dealing with such a terrible person. At this point, it made sense why we were not told that our refund in business would be credit. If we had known this from the outset, we would probably not have spent the same kind of money for food, drinks, arcade games, etc. I asked for another time to get our money back on the map we paid to the second employee. At the same time, old bad employees #1 went from us when she finished her shift and smiled us, wondered, and said something about the effect of happiness with the employee #2. In my life, I have not experienced poor customer service. This woman was just mean. And for absolutely no reason. We stayed polite throughout the discussion, but that made no difference. I now have a gift card to a place where I will be sure to make recommendations to friends, family and acquaintances to ACTIVELY AVOID and spend their money in a place where customers are fairly treated and not like a burden, even if hundreds of dollars are spent. I went to the restaurant part.I heard the pizza other food items were good. I went with my family co-workers. We were all amazed at how true this was. Idaho Bacon Ranch the Hawaiian pizza were both very good.It has an open bar the staff are attentive.Prices ran a little higher, (25$ for a 16 pizza) but I left very satisfied.
We recently had our employee appreciation party at River City Lanes. They catered to our every need, waited on us all night and did so with a smile. Super friendly crew, shout out to Cherie and Ely. They made our night so easy for us, we just came in, and had fun and they took care of the rest. Thank you, you guys are the best. (Restoration 1). See you next year!
Birthday party experience wasn 't what it should have been, I paid for the Brooklyn party we didn 't have any lights flashing music thumping as the package states it will include. The lady I 'd been emailing with seemed short irritable, like annoyed that I was making a reservation. We didn 't receive a bowling pin with my child 's name like they said they would have done in the past. We were also put DIRECTLY next to another birthday party so you couldn 't even tell the two parties apart people kept getting confused going to the wrong area. I see they just upped the price of this package by $43 considering I didn 't get the full experience I would not recommend getting it for even more money. Lastly, when I was trying to make the reservation, I had to do so 3 different times, once on the part reservation form on the website then 2 times on the phone. They told me twice my Saturday reservation was fine then last minute after I had already told all my guests the time place, they told me that Saturday had been booked since October I could only do Sunday. The whole thing felt like only half effort on their end.Oh a bunch of games in the arcade are broke. We wasted $5-10 on broken games that just took our money but we couldn 't play. Also expensive beer food.
Had a great time! As a bowling alley owner, I know all the hard work that's required, and they have us a great experience. We went on a Saturday night and with all the disco lights, music videos and loud music, it was a blast (too distracting to have good bowling shoes, but we had a ton of fun).
