Timber Tavern - Potsdam

Fantastic food and service. Enjoy the menu. Good beer selection. Rustic atmosphere. Good selection of burgers, wings and ducks. Ben, the owner and the cook, occasionally comes out to welcome the mosquitoes and check how people enjoy their meals. Definitely a place to go as it is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip.

We recently moved here and this is a fun little gem in Parishville with a beautiful log interior and stone fireplace! The menu is extensive so there are many somethings for everyone! It is also creatively written and entertaining to read! You don’t get that at very many places! (I posted 4 photos of it I read some reviews whining about price. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I feel it’s worth it! If you want to spend $8.50 on dinner then drive 20 min to Potsdam and go to a drive thru. If you want a nice clean place with good atmosphere, and to support the local eatery so it stays around, GO HERE!! :

The menu is hilarious to read and the food was ALL amazing...the owner is a wickes cool guy. We were the only ones there on a Sunday evening and he made me my own special drink at the bar. We will be back.

Very yummy burger (Apple Jack) and poutine. Delish!

Lots of comments here about the price, but each dish is actually made to order and doesn't sit under a heat lamp all day (looking at you, Potsdam restaurants). IMHO the service, portions and locale justify it. This is my favorite hideaway in the area, bar none. The Coronary will always be my favorite, you can't beat a late night at the Timber with some poutine and a good beer.
