Shorty's Sunflower Cafe - Pottstown

We stopped by for a quick meal on our way to Costco, and it was wonderful! I ordered the eggs, toast, and potatoes. The seasoning on the potatoes was fantastic, and the toast was perfectly buttered! Next time, I would love to eat outside; the outdoor seating area looked adorable!

We ordered two Deluxe Breakfasts, swapping the bacon for pork roll. The eggs and marble rye toast were cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were the highlight of the meal—they were delicious. Unfortunately, the pork roll did not meet our expectations. Instead of the typical 1/8 to 1/4-inch slices that other restaurants serve, we received four very thin slices that were barely substantial. Additionally, instead of being grilled to achieve crispy edges, they were soft, as if they had been steamed. The amount was not even equivalent to two slices of bacon, and overall, it was neither tasty nor a good value. We definitely won't be ordering this again.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Whenever I stay at my boyfriend’s place and they are open, we always make it a point to go there. The food is incredible, and the service is just as fantastic! I haven't had a single bad experience yet!

This is a great place to grab breakfast- probably one of the best in the Pottstown area. Everything is good and the prices are reasonable. I absolutely love the pancakes- especially the chocolate chip pancakes. Get a side of the toasted zucchini bread while you browse the interesting menu. You'll leave their with a full-belly and a pretty full wallet too.

Shorty’s has been my husband’s and my go-to favorite breakfast spot for nearly 4 years now. We eat breakfast here a few times a month, and it is hands-down our favorite. I am a creature of habit, so I almost always get the same exact thing (the potato bomb! and it’s always a perfect breakfast. My husband loves to try everything, and he has never been disappointed. They often have amazing specials on the board when you walk in, and he enjoys checking out the rotating options they’re always coming up with. When they ask you what kind of toast you want, DEFINITELY go for the zucchini bread— it is otherworldly good. The super sweet waitresses are always so kind and friendly, and they keep the coffee flowing the whole time. If you are looking for a new breakfast spot, don’t hesitate to come here!
