Panda Garden - Powell

Koala Garden. I think the sign is what most people attract in this place. The name is Panda Garden, but there's a koala on the sign. The food is your typical American Chinese, but isn't that what we all know and love? Portion sizes are also quite large. My mother and I ate there and they ate only about half of their General Tso and saved the rest for lunch the next day. Spice dishes are marked with a small symbol, and the crabs rangoons are delicious. The place is better suited for exit, but there is a dining area if you prefer to eat there. I give him 5 stars.

This restaurant serves excellent Chinese food! The boneless ribs are tender and juicy, which sets them apart from many other places. The dumplings are also soft, and the sauce is very flavorful. My son loves the shrimp lo mein, and my husband enjoyed the vegetable lo mein and a special order of vegetable foo young, both of which were delicious. The egg rolls are tasty, though the wrap is a bit thick like most. I'm originally from Massachusetts and have had Chinese food in New York, but this is just as good as any restaurant I've ever visited. They even serve New England duck sauce. They would be perfect if they just added a few more touches!

One of Knoxville's hidden gems, this restaurant is definitely among the best for Chinese takeout in the area. For years, we've been making the drive from the northern outskirts just to dine here, and it's always worth the trip. The food consistently tastes amazing, and there's a freshness here that's often missing from typical Chinese takeout. I can't recommend this place enough!

The food here is excellent, and the portion sizes are generous! I've visited four times, and each experience has been enjoyable. I've tried the Teriyaki Chicken, roasted rice, Chicken Chow Mein, shrimp lo mein, pork lo mein, and egg rolls. The only minor issue I encountered was that the egg roll wrappers were a bit tough, but still easy to chew. They are also accommodating with special requests. The owners and staff are very friendly! The dining area is simple—it's not particularly cozy, but it serves its purpose well.
