Chang Thai Cuisine - Powys

Only one front of the employee when we arrived. surreale experience when the waiter took the half of our order broke out to answer the phone, then sit a group. if we hadn't ordered any drinks, we would have left. the starters were good, but not anymore. as that, raw egg in my head. it could be that I was irritated at that time, but I'm sure the tables were closer than they were before. perfectly beautiful couple next to us, but we could not hear ourselves thinking with just a few centimeters between tables. conversation interspersed with the regular pinging of a microwave from the kitchen. I loved this place, we always visit our brecon travels, but I doubt that we return.

Very long wait (20mins) for takeaway despite arriving at the time we were told to (the restaurant was busy but would have been nice to have been told about the delay). Then when we got home we had two wrong orders 64 came with...egg noodles diner was egg intolerant so unable to eat this. And rice was sticky rice not plain and a very disappointing portion size. See pictures. Will not be returning. Would not recommend.

I am surprised by some reviews and confused. We booked a table during their busy evening, on arrival the restaurant was busy. We were greeted and seated in a pleasant position at the back of the restaurant. The bathroom was clean and the restaurant was...nicely decorated. The menu was extensive with a great and varied choice. We were adventurous and thought we’d try two different set menus and in fact we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and hot and tasty I couldn’t fault it there was plenty of spice for those that like it and for those that don’t. To be honest there was too much food from these choices we made and we had to leave an awful lot a thing I don’t like to do or waste but truthfully said it was too much food for 4 people. The owner came over twice to make sure everything was nice and that we were happy. I would recommend this restaurant, it was nice to talk to the servers who I think were all part of the family as they were certainly all Thai. Well done Chang

The food here is good. Whether it is authentically Thai or not o don’t know but it’s very tasty. But when I visited last week service was appallingly slow. Our starters were slow coming, our mains slower, and mine arrived 10 minutes after my companions’.

Here on the way home for a late dinner. the staff was excellent and eating even better. a 2 cursor for two, among them two appetizers, to share three main thing and two big glasses red and the whole thing was less than. £70 top quality for no money. superb.
