Bidra med feedbackHad tasty Brussels spits (good for those who do not like, brittle sprouts), creamy cheeses, decent hush puppies, and delicate, flakey fried puppies. No misses. Just good food! Recommended.
First timer and it pretty good but a little pricey on some things. I had the shrimp and grits. Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but was pretty good. I’ll go back to try more items from the menu.
However, during my recent visit to Mahi Mike's, I was genuinely impressed across the board. First and foremost, the food was exceptional! Previously, I had visited when this location was called the Wharf, and I remember the seafood being average and the lemonade having an unpleasant taste. But this time, I ordered the crab cakes, cheese, and hush puppies with their "comeback sauce" (a clever name for remoulade), and it was the best sauce I’ve ever had. Their lemonade was also excellent, which is a significant plus for me as I love lemonade. I'm usually not a fan of hush puppies due to their dry texture, but the ones here were moist and delicious. I also tried some mahi mahi tacos my friend ordered, and they were fantastic. Cleanliness is another key factor I consider when rating a restaurant, and Mahi Mike's was spotless. As we were finishing our meals, the manager, Terry, came over to check on us and was incredibly friendly. She asked if we liked Brussels sprouts, to which we both replied no, as I find them unappealing. However, she offered to let us try hers on the house, which was a generous gesture. A few moments later, she returned with some Brussels sprouts that, to be honest, didn't look too appetizing. But when we tried them, I was astonished; they were salty, crispy, and topped with Parmesan cheese. It completely changed my perspective on Brussels sprouts! The great customer service didn't stop with Terry. Lisa, the cashier who took our order and brought our food, was also wonderful. She was friendly, honest, and attentive. I expressed my concern about the lemonade, recalling my previous experience at the Wharf, and Lisa candidly admitted that she found it too sweet and would often dilute it. However, she kindly offered me a taste before I decided, and it was just right for me. I mention how I evaluate restaurants at the beginning of this review because I typically provide thorough, balanced reviews based on my experiences. However, I’ve never walked into a place and given them five stars on my first visit—until now! Despite being new, I believe others might have the same hesitation I did before coming here. It’s still the Wharf, just under a different name. I've never been more impressed by a restaurant than I was today. Would I recommend Mahi Mike's? Absolutely! I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. As a seafood lover, it’s a challenge to find places in the area that serve great food with excellent service at reasonable prices.
This is, without a doubt, the most delicious food I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The service was fantastic, and they have excellent daily specials. I absolutely need to take some of that comeback sauce home—I even bought extra! And the shrimp were amazing!
The food was excellent; I had the fried shrimp, and there was plenty of it. The daily specials appeared to be great deals. However, the floors were sticky, which detracted from the beauty of the place.
