Koyo - Prospect

We had an excellent dinner at Koyo. The service, atmosphere, and most of the dishes were all incredibly satisfying. We opted for the set menu featuring wagyu beef, and every course was absolutely delicious. The selection of wines and whiskies was outstanding. We're definitely coming back for more!

We only tried a few items, but everything was delicious. The only issue we encountered was at the end when we went to settle the bill. Because we were paying separately, they attempted to charge us an additional 15% for sharing the bill.

Aside from a slight wait for our food, everything was very good. However, the wine list could use some improvement, particularly in the red wine selection, and their strict no BYO policy is quite interesting. We went there twice and had a great time each visit, and we plan to return since they are still new and are likely to improve over time.

Service and atmosphere are good. Staffs are supportive and friendly. Smiling service is a plus. Nice decoration. However the flavour is not worth the price to me. I have no comments about portion. I can stay small but the flavour needs to be improved. Some dishes are too light. Flavour and seasoning are not clear. Fried rice quite dry.

The water and drinks took a while. Not a lot of staff on. The banquette seating was a little close, it felt like we sitting at the same table. After that, however, the food was beautiful, cocktail delicious and the service good. We look forward to going again.
