Capriccio - Providence

There 's a reason a restaurant like Capriccio has been around so many years. We were at first a little skeptical the ambiance seemed a little old world and the calamari was just OK. But then the entrees arrive wow! The tenderloin risotto was amazing,and The Captain put on quite a show with the scampi. Wine selection is extensive, and we also enjoyed the desserts. It was alittle pricey but worth it. Service was excellent. We 'll be back.

Mario is a very fun Maître D. We have had a few experiences here, all were very pleasant. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all great. They have a well organized wine list, and thoughtful presentations. My only suggestion to them is the perception of waiters, etc. Smoking cigarettes outside in the alleyway. It won’t prevent me from dining here in the future, but it’s noticeable enough to mention. Other than that, the atmosphere is truly great (especially decorations around Christmas time)

I came here for my birthday yesterday and wow what an experience. We had a reservation for 8:15 which is close to their closing time but it didn’t feel that way as we were greeted with the same energy as if they had just opened. Our server, Dylan, was the best server I’ve ever had in a restaurant, seriously. If you have the privilege to be served by him you’ll leave there feeling taken care of like your a member of the family. Everything was on point from the table setting to the drinks, food and even dessert. Even though the kitchen was closing soon, everything came out perfect and on time. The atmosphere also made me feel like I was in Goodfellas which is always a plus! If your considering a place to celebrate a special occasion or just get some high quality Italian food, look no further then Capriccio. And ask for Dylan, you won’t be disappointed!

The ambiance at Capriccios was nice; especially with loved ones. The consistency in quality of food left a little to be desired. I would have expected every dish to be excellent at the price. The steak tip, veal parmesian, tiramisu and chicken alfredo were quality- while the crab linguini and cheesecake were lacking. The wine selection and choices were excellent. The service was good as well despite being a busy night. I would give it another shot but not before exploring other Italian restaurants in the area first.

My Girl and I had a great time celebrating my birthday the food and the service was delicious not so much for the sangria.
