Wes' Rib House - Providence

Used to be so good. This place used to be legendary. Amazing BBQ with people driving up from New Jersey or New York just to taste it. At some point in the past ten years, it was remodeled with a weird Western theme and the quality steadily declined. Now, I'd rank it about equal with Chili's or Applebee's except more expensive and not as clean. Oh man, do I miss the old place!

Last night everything from the food to the service was horrible.

Wes' Rib House enjoys legendary acclaim for having the best barbeque in Rhode Island. My wife and I came here for dinner, and were truly disappointed.

Great disappointment. four friends and I went to the wes' rib house on Sunday. there were only two more tables that were occupied and this should have been a sign for us. we haven't been there for several years, and the food and service are not what they were earlier. our food came in several stadia: we got our appetizers (medicine), then our chips (Schaffel frits that were in order), then 10 minutes later, four of us got our sandwiches. the waitress claimed it was the first day of the cook, and he would have missed the fifth sandwich.
