Bidra med feedbackAlthough the vegan options were not clearly labeled, the service was friendly and helpful in guiding us. However, we found the food to be disappointing in terms of design, flavor, and presentation. Unfortunately, neither of the dishes we ordered were enjoyable. Overall, we feel there are better dining options available in town. (Updated from previous review on November 18, 2022)
I recently tried a salad with soy steaks at this restaurant (they refer to it as soy meat). The soy was surprisingly soft and pliable, unlike anything I've had before. It had a great flavor, reminiscent of soy sauce. For dessert, I also had some delicious vegan cookies. Another time, I tried their Açaí bowl for breakfast and it was fantastic. There were many fruit and topping options to choose from, and the Açaí itself was slightly frozen and flavorful.
I spent a few hours here waiting for a ferry. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I especially enjoyed the bowl I ordered which was very satisfying. It was priced at $13.50, which is on the higher side, but it was worth it as I was so full that I ended up skipping dinner.
This place has the most vegan options for breakfast and lunch on Santa Cruz. They understand veganism and have vegan dishes that are specified, but you can also substitute vegan options for other menu items. Their cookies were phenomenal! The vegan waffles were hearty and flavorful, and the acai bowl is a delicious and filling meal any time. They close at 430 pm.
I tried a salad with soy steaks at this restaurant, which they referred to as soy meat. The soy was very tender and had a unique texture that I hadn't tried before. It had a delicious flavor, reminiscent of soy sauce. To finish off my meal, I also ordered some vegan cookies that were fantastic. Another time, I tried the Açaí bowl for breakfast, which was also amazing. I had the option to choose a variety of toppings and fruits to go on top. The açaí itself was slightly frozen but delicious.
