Bidra med feedbackBarrio is a colorful restaurant with great drinks. However, it did not meet our taste. We ordered some drinks to start, which were pretty tasty (pasion colada and charco de sol). To start, we received a small ceviche tostada as on the house appetizer. This was a very nice detail. It was tasty, but it didn't have a strong ceviche taste. We ordered Mushrooms as an appetizer, they were really great! The portion size was more than decent, and they were really tasty! As the appetizer was great, we had high expectations for the main course. We had fish with pesto and almonds and shrimps with pasta. Unfortunately, we did not like the main courses a lot. The fish (may be because of the type of fish) was very meaty and dry, the pesto with almonds was OK, however the steamed vegetables as sidedish was also not our favorite. The shrimps with pasta reminded us of soup pasta with tomato sauce. It would have been better to have proper pasta like tagliatelle or something else. It felt a bit cheap, and it did not go great with the shrimps. The tomato sauce was really basic, it was just like a plain tomato sauce. The shrimps, however, were cooked great and very tasty. They had live Latin music, which was great! In general it is a nice colorful restaurant, with tasty drinks, well presented food, but in our opinion not very tasty, just ok. We would only come back for drinks, the mushrooms again and the music again! Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Loved the food and the service! Would definitely recommend a place to eat while you are in PV.
I cannot say enough about my experience at Barrio Bistro. Chef Memo was so kind to make me a cocktail prior to their dinner svc given I arrived early. I opted for the tasting menu and chatted with Chef given this is the off season, the restaurant was not as packed as typical for the busy season or weekend. Chef offered me a tasting menu and it didn't disappoint, I especially loved the fresh Hearts of Palm enchilada how does one pack so much flavor in something so simple?! The beef tostada was loaded with flavor as well... Chef is very popular in the area, a local tour guide mentioned it when I relayed I was staying in Versalles. It's a 10peso bus ride and short walk or 5 US via Uber from the Melecon... and worth the . Versalles is such a nice area without all the noise of the city centre, be sure to go as there are so many other amazing restaurants in this new upcoming neighborhood. The drinks are amazing as well, def try his personal rhaicilla (sp? . Chef Memo is too kind, my first evening at my ABNB in Versalles didn't disappoint!
Great service and interesting menu. Loved the soup, hit salad, and chicken entre. Live music was a tad loud for conversation.
¡Qué cena tan deliciosa! Todo estaba perfecto y la atención fue excepcional. Sin duda, el mejor lugar para celebrar y terminar mi cumpleaños.
