Mantamar Beach Club . Bar & Grill

Having visited in 2016 and absolutely loved It, we decided to return this year. Upon arrival, we were quite rudely greeted, as if we weren't wanted there, we brushed that aside thinking that the person there might be having a bad day (as we all do sometimes!).We proceeded to ask to have a poolside Bed and after some hesitation she agreed and took us there only to find out that the price had TRIPLED from last year to $3000 ! We then decided to see what the beach beds were like, priced at $500 We thought was a good price however they didn't have any cushions or towels provided and after being lay down for 10 minutes with no one coming to offer menus or ask for drinks we decided to leave. It's a shame as it's a beautiful place and we were looking forward to return from last year but there are so many other places along the beach we chose elsewhere.

If you're a guest at Almar, this is a natural choice as most Almar packages include access. I don't believe it is worth visiting if you have to pay a separate charge: the food is average-to-very-good but the service is poor, the ambiance is terrible (noise, flies), and the beach amenities seem to be in poor upkeep. I strongly discourage drinking at their bar. I had one Piña Colada - the only drink I had that day and the only Mantamar-provided mixed drink during 8 days in Puerto Vallarta - and vomited repeatedly about 2 hours later.

I was at Mantamar last weekend. I had been here before and had enjoyed the food, the swimming pool, the service. This time it was no different, the staff was great always helpfull and overall happy. The music was great, lovely ambiance, the food was delicious, and fullfilling. The pool area was clean, and relaxing. And the beach are was fun too. The clientele was fun and met loads of fun people.

Me ha sorprendido muy gratamente este club de playa con un cómodo y magnífico restaurante que te permite disfrutar de la playa durante todo el día o de su piscina junto al mar en un ambiente magnífico.Todo el personal está pendiente de atenderte y facilitarte aquello que necesites.Mi agradecimiento a todos y en especial a Daniel y Julio.Seguro que volveré pronto

En lo particular es la 3ra ocasión que visitamos este lugar y la comida y servicio son muy buenos y puedes escoger entre relajarte o ambientarte en un solo lugar, lo único es que tendrán que estar dispuestos a decir muchos no por los vendedores
