Excellent food, top service and beautiful room

A family friendly restaurant with good service and average food. My wife and I went for a Saturday lunch with our two small children (a 2 year old and a 4 year old). The staff is super friendly and came over with a high chair for our 2 year old right away. They also gave us some paper and pens to keep the kids occupied, while we waited for our lunch. We ordered a couple of dishes for children, which came very fast. My wife and I ordered the dish of the day, which was a small portion of fish with lots of French fries. OK but not outstanding.

Restaurant du Port Rolle VD Switzerland has been known in the area as serving the best Fish-filets together with locally grown wine. I have gone there several times and each time the experience is 10 out of 10. The fish is prepared in butter and the filet pieces are curled, served with very thin french fries. Two servings are standard. I have made reservations the day prior to having lunch there, and exactly those reservations are required. We had a table outside, with very warm sunny weather at the end of the second week of september 2022. There is a view on the lake Geneva but there are big begonias right next to the patio where tables and chairs are set up. Together with the local wine and a dessert like no other, named méringue glacée the experience went over the top. I made known that I had come from the US specifically to have that lunch at that outside table and I strongly recommend this experience to anyone who is a true gourmand.

This is a very comfortable restaurant with a wide choice of food and an attentive service. Good location.
