Bidra med feedbackThe food is good, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is great. My friends and I are all regular guests and often recommend it to others. Her crispy French toast or a pan are a great way to go.
I was satisfied with my meal and the service, meeting my expectations well. However, as noted by a previous reviewer, the owners seem to rush both their staff and customers out the door by 2:00 PM. Before I took a one-hour flight from The Villages, FL to Punta Gorda, I called to confirm that the restaurant was open and not closing at 2:00. I was informed that I needed to arrive by 1:45. I got there at 1:15, which was fine. An older couple came in at 1:30 and were told they had only 10 minutes to eat. Around 1:35, a server locked the door and switched the sign to CLOSED. Although this didn’t directly impact my visit, I felt uneasy about what I witnessed and asked my server to speak with the owner or manager. A minute later, the server returned saying the owner was too busy. When I left the airport, the staff at the FBO (for small aircraft arrivals and departures) mentioned that they hear complaints like this frequently, but no changes ever occur.
We had some really delicious fish sandwiches and fish and chips. The onion rings were also fantastic. The price was quite reasonable—just $15 for two of us to eat. While the setting may not be the most attractive, the planes create a unique atmosphere. We left feeling full and satisfied.
This is a fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch, perfect for catching up with friends or grabbing a quick bite or cocktail before your flight. The menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. They also offer a good selection of cocktails and the service is very friendly. Conveniently located right next to Punta Gorda Airport Terminal, the airport provides 2 hours of free parking in the Short-Term Lot.
