Alekev's - Pyrmont

I found my way to this newly opened Pyrmont café after receiving a letter from a local. She asked me to check it because she wants it to be around. it was hard to resist such a beautiful, please! a plate of golden Prawn lace 11.90)

Rude service. I was disgusted by my recent visit to alekew. we stopped at breakfast and ordered 2 of their breakfast menu special, which was a 5.50 muffin, ei and speck coffee, but they sent us 2 tellers of their larger portion breakfast to $9.90, which after serving the teller, we said the wrong order. the dame took her time to come out and clarify, and when we said that we could not accept the order, she looked angry and said we would have to pay for it even though we had not touched it yet. they insisted that we had commanded the bigger ones when we had explicitly told the waiter who took our order that we wanted to order the muffin (may he not be able to understand English well)....read more

5 star experience. had a wonderful night in this fantastic restaurant in pyrmont. mealtimes were excellent value for money in a beautiful atmosphere the meals that were presented tasty divine, fresh and full taste would recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out!

A little gem on the quite side of Harris street PyrmontSituated between Bridge rd and Allen st.

We stopped by for breakfast and ordered of their breakfast menu special which was a muffin, egg and bacon +coffee but they sent us plates of their bigger portion breakfast set at which upon being served the plates, we said were the wrong orders. The lady took her time to come out and clarify and when we said we couldn't accept the order, she looked angry and said we had to pay for the food, even though we hadn't touched it yet. She kept insisting that we had placed the larger orders when we specifically had told the waiter who took our order we wanted the muffin order (maybe he couldn't understand English well). In the end, we had no choice but to take one of the plates, we rejected the other plate. When I went to pay the bill, she looked very angry and literally slammed the bill on the table. What rudeness and arrogance when you had a made a mistake! Instead of apologies, we got sulky faces and no offer for change of order.. any positive reviews of this cafe is unjustified, if they don't change their staff... Worst case of service I have experienced in Sydney...While we were entering the cafe, they hadn't bothered to inform us that repair works were being done to their display shelves and there was gas emission as well as loud noises which made us move outdoors on our own. To add insult to injury, the wrong order and the rudeness which followed was unbearable. Approach Alekev with caution...
