Portofinos Restaurant, Cafe & Function Venue

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options and generous portions beautifully presented. The cozy atmosphere with a beach view added to the overall experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When I realized I had missed an ingredient in one of my dishes, they kindly allowed me to exchange it for another without any extra charges. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

We recently had two separate functions at Portofinos, over a two week period, and each time we were fortunate enough to have Vic oversee our tables. The food was delicious and despite the restaurant being packed on both days, the food came out hot and in good time but Vic went above and beyond to make sure our events went well and that everything ran smoothly. He deserves a huge shout out and thanks. He is people focussed and doesn't just do the job because he has to. He has a beautiful servant heart and made our celebrations work so well. Thanks Vic, because of you we will keep coming back.

While the food here was delicious and we couldn't really fault any of it, it was the staff that really stood out. Unbelievably attentive to needs, very efficient, easy to get the attention of, so friendly and smiley. It was a really nice visit.

The food at this restaurant was terrible. It's a shame because the location is nice. I was really disappointed. The fish and seafood were frozen and deep fried in old oil, making them absolutely inedible. The milkshakes were bad and the pizza had no taste. The kids' chips seemed like they were cooked the day before and left sitting in a Bain Marie.

I have been a patron of Portofinos for many years and have always had positive experiences. The restaurant offers a beautiful ocean view. However, during my recent visit, I noticed some changes. The basic breakfast item, scrambled eggs, was not available, which was surprising as it is a simple dish to prepare. The smashed avocado on toast was poorly presented - it was smeared on the toast and discolored, with no attempt to garnish or make it appetizing. Overall, the quality of food was disappointing. Additionally, the coffee was not good. It seems like they may have had an off day in the kitchen, but based on this experience, I do not plan on returning.
