Soup Shanty - Racine

Wonderful place to eat...Everyone was nice and professional.

The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was very mice and friendly. It was a little warm inside the Shanty.

The food used to be much better but $17 for a small sandwich and a small thing of decent soup is not worth it at all.

Stopped in for a gift certificate and it was hand written and put in a ledger like most small businesses do. The service was friendly. The place was completely empty and I saw no signs of cooking but there was a strong odor of cooking oil. Google maps said to enter the parking lot for Douglas Ave which I don't think is possible.

Service with a smile is a saying for a reason. Rather than handle a discrepancy they argue and discredit rather than try to smooth things over and make for peace. I can only assume the owner was dodging the situation as she was never available. If your job entails ladling soup day in and day out do it with joy. If you can endure workers attitude, you can enjoy a decent cup of soup. Other food adequate. George Webb down the road.
