My issue isn't with the service, as both staff members I interacted with were friendly. However, the food was a different story. It was extremely overpriced for items that weren’t even fresh; everything tasted reheated and greasy. (For reference, I found a similar meal at Dublin Airport, the capital of reheated food, for €3 less.) I was very disappointed, especially since the breakfast didn’t even include a cup of tea! I've dined here before and enjoyed the food, but after this experience, this will definitely be my first and last breakfast at this place!

However, thanks to the cozy layout of Poitín, we managed to find a spot in the corner. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and they are happy to accommodate any modifications, which suggests that the dishes are made fresh. I tried both the fish and chips and the ribs, and both were excellent. I suspect the desserts are not made in-house, so the hearty main dishes are definitely the highlight here. The coffee after dinner was smooth and delicious. By 9 p.m., the crowd had thinned out slightly, but the intimate setting of this pub ensures it never feels empty, and it never feels overcrowded either.
