Rathy Pub - Rathdowney

Stopped here for lunch specifically after reading a great review. Wasn't disappointed with a nice pub food, good beer and friendly service. A must if heading through this area. We also took a nice little walk down to the information centre for a chat with the friendly older lady who gave us a history lesson on this nice little town.

A stop off at the Rathy pub is a must if you are in the area. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and tidy.The bar serves good food at a reasonable price. A few beers there with the locals and you'll get a good feel for the area.

Meals were well priced, served promptly and very yummy. Nothing too extravagant just good honest pub food. Service was friendly and for a little pub it was very busy on the day we visited which is always a good sign

Food was very fresh and Great Prices! Great looking place near tidy and for a small country town, quite a few people around.

The burgers are the best. Huge. Nearly half a pig on the bacon and egg sandwiches. Fantastic service and very friendly. Great atmosphere and staff are very helpful and professional.
