Quecke Restaurant - Ratingen

We had nice schnitzel and beer. Desert icecream or sorbet was also tasty. Friendly service. Nice to sit outside in the sunshine (and watch airplanes flying over).

The restaurant is part of Mercure hotel. Steaks, burgers, salads, fish, pasta. Typical international fayre. The steaks were actually tasty and very well cooked and tender - they were just a bit on the small side. The restaurant food can also be eaten in the adjoining bar (with Sky Sports) if the restaurant is full. No traditional German food.

This mercure restaurant could have gotten easy to start for the quality of eating, but it will be so boring after more than a few weeks around (I was there for about months on and off) as the menu never changes and does not offer so many dishes. they had snuck in the past, but then they canceled it. they have types of steaks good, but obviously they cannot have it every day. for beginners they have carpaccio and suppe. two or three types of pasta had been cooked too much cheese in it and the other was good. they also have fish (very good) and huh (quite beautiful). I don't eat hamburger at night, so that's half a menu less for me. They used to have drowned, but they stopped serving them. only two species of salates I personally did not like. service is always very slow. in the past they had a few great young (christian and daniel) who were efficient and fast, but then the staff changed and the service became slow again. also the hotel is always packed (to be an airport hotel) and it is often difficult to get a table, which is why they need to reserve a table. during the summer, the hotel offers for the family with children who visit the nearby themed part and then overcrow the restaurant. Nevertheless, the food I had there was always in good quality, fresh, well looked (see pictures) and always delicious.

We had a very nice dinner here, great combination of fresh products. the waiters were particularly attentive to our years old, who have to go with them to the kitchen to get some free ice. very pleasant experience!
