Samarco II Cafe Brasserie

Samarco II has been serving great meals at this address for so many years I hesitate to state a number. Really, it is quite amazing for a small restaurant on the street side of a relatively minor suburban shopping centre.Maybe it's because it consistently serves well presented, beautifully prepared meals at prices which, while definitely not "cheap eats" are still in the mid-range, but which will not be shamed by fine dining restaurants.It's licensed but BYO wine only, with corkage around $2 per head, which certainly helps when it comes to payingTricia and I went there the other night to take advantage of their winter special offer ( until the end of June). Tricia had lamb shank and I had osso buco, both great winter meals, but the offer was for 2 courses for $35 or 3 for $45 plus a glass of wine. I've forgotten the names of the entre' we ordered but we had some unusually prepared prawns and an oyster thing in pastry shells. Being married we swapped morsels and they were both great. The same goes for the main course.If you live within striking distance of Middle Park and you haven't been here don't let the lack of pretension put you off. It's a bottler of a restaurant.

We were staying nearby and took advantage of a shuttle service to this establishment. Small menu but varied so should find something that appeals to you. Mediterranean, Asian, French and Mexican inspired dishes along with the everyday Aussie faves. would try again.

A wonderful café to eat for lunch or dinner, with great food at very good prices and excellent service too. We have had several meals here recently, both lunch and dinner, and have been very happy with each.

Family birthday brunch. Fantastic food. We had the Butchers Breakfast, Eggs Benedict and the Vegetarian Lover, all with coffee. Absolutely delicious and a large serving. Came here with my sister and her 1-year-old last week for lunch. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. She had the fish of the day, I had the calamari. Little man had a bit of both lunches. Her fish was perfectly flaky and soft with the crunchiest golden batter. My calamari was so tender, again with that perfect batter.Service was attentive and friendly, and perfectly timed so that we weren't waiting long but also didn't feel like we were being pushed out the door.I've been here often, and it's this good every time. Consistent high quality.
