Nuova Piedigrotta 2

We always found staff fantastic, friendly and helpful, service is great, very quick and efficient. Setup for this COVID period is also well done with seating outside bit close to the road but the cicada keep you company, drowning out the traffic. Food is very good, well prepared and served always fresh. Stretched pizza can be a real filler, very good and with top condiments. Grill service is also good, but found the fish to be a bit too smelly..... Will have to try for a better idea! Would definitely recommend and willingly return!

My wife, myself, a group of friends from Italy and the US had a great dinner at Nuova Piedigrotta 2. We first tried the fresh mozzarella and olives which were delicious, by far the best mozzarella that I have tasted. We followed that by selecting from their many pizza options, my favorite was the Terme Del Colesterolo. We finished with ice cream in fruit (possibly called fruttini gelato, but I am unsure) which was also excellent. We had a great time at a great restaurant!

The place is normally very busy for a simple reason.... the food is delicious!!! Once you have sat down to your table (sometimes it takes a while althought you have pre-booked), the service is friendly enough, quick and effective. The main point to discuss here is the food...... DELICOUS!!!! From great pizzas (and the Romana style pizza that you don't find very easily), lovely traditional food from both south and north Italy, the fish is just special!!! Cold or hot fish and seafood antipasti, fish pasta dishes, fish and seafood main courses.... all extremely good, my mouth is watering whilst I'm writing!!! I regularly visit the Nuova Piedigrotta 2 when on holiday in Italy visiting my family and going out with my friends from Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Cremona, Milan, London and even Jamaica and no one at no time has had anything bad to say about this restaurant!!! Pizza creativa e molto valida. Personale all'entrata e ai tavoli molto affabile e sempre impegnato. Peccato per il proprietario (credo) che trascina sedie e parla al walkie-talkie ad alto volume per organizzare e sedere più clienti, e dopo aver volteggiato intorno al nostro tavolo verso la fine della nostra esperienza, con fare irritato e lamentandosi visibilmente coi camerieri per il fatto che stavamo ancora finendo il caffè (non eravamo seduti da un'ora) è venuto personalmente a cacciarci, avendo tanta gente in attesa fuori. Mai successo prima in nessun ristorante, non si confà all'ambiente anche raffinato di questo.

Cibo ottimo personale preparato e cordialissimo prezzi ottimamente centrati.Consiglio a Tutti
