Willow on Wascana - Regina

Fantastic "Evening in Catalan" event with winemaker Assis Suriol!__We arrived a little early for the event so the staff showed us to some seats on the deck

Consider myself a foodie and somehow haven't made to the willows until recently.

The evening of attendance the waitress staff was rude and arrogantWas spoken down to about trivial matters of food.

The view from outdoor deck is nice. Unfortunately , that was the best part of the restaurant. Wine list was lovely. Waiter was very educated on menu. I had the chicken, which was pretty blah. My party also had a steak which was tough, noodle bowl which had little to no taste beside salt and the duck dish which was good. It's a beautiful view but I was expecting the dishes to be outstanding and they just weren't.

Just passing through Regina at lunchtime we found The Willow on the Wascana River. A delightful spot on the river. Creative gourmet food. One of us enjoyed a Canadian lake fish called Pickerel, while the other had a delicious Leek and Potato soup with Crisp Bison Bacon and a Roast Radish Salad with an Almond crumbled crust. Delightful!
