Claws Seafood House - REHOBOTH BEACH

I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The extra-large crabs were the perfect size—I ordered a dozen and even took some home! The atmosphere was fun and casual, and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch with everything just outside. I would definitely recommend it!

The best seafood I've had in decades, and I'm quite selective! We visited twice and ended up ordering the Seafood Bake both times because it was absolutely delicious!

CAN YOU SAY ONE AND DONE? I went there last month with out of town guests for a birthday celebration to eat crabs. I do not mind whatsoever paying the prices for crabs but I want what I pay for. The crabs were sub par! A few of them were very light, paper crabs and a couple of them were mealy (mushy, do not eat! . The crab cake dinner was just so so. We were very disappointed. Much to my surprise the waitess said they were out of glasses!!!!!! I have never been to a restaurant before that said they were out of glasses!! What???? In a resort town???? Are you kidding me? So we gave the waitress our glasses with crab seasoning all over them when we ordered another drink!! Really??? The next point may seem somewhat petty but I am about principle... 2 people at the table had birthdays and the waitress seemed to 'offer ' cake for the 2 birthdays...even though I am not opposed to paying for it. When the bill came the 2 pcs of cake $10 each were added to the bill then listed 'removed per manager '..Ok fine then the total bill (with tip included the cost of the cake...just the principle of it. That should not have been done. Pretty slick on their part. For 3 people eating sub par crabs w a couple apps and 2 people having dinner, and 3 out of 5 people having 2 drinks the bill was over $550.00. Even so,...... I wouldn 't had had issue if the crabs weren 't light and the 2 dinners weren 't so so. I am a Marylander and a seafood lover but Claws really missed the mark!!! Waitress seemed to rush us out when bringing the cake while we were all still eating and said they had customers waiting.. Too bad because 3 of us are locals but NEVER NEVER AGAIN!

The food, drinks, and staff at this restaurant are exceptional. Don't miss out on the delicious beers and shellfish!
