Absolutely undamaged as this host has moved with us. We had ordered Kalbssaltimbocca alla Romana and expected the meat with parma ham, sage and white wine sauce as usual. It wasn't like this. Apart from the fact that we are sure not to have had veal but pork on the plate, there was a slice of eggplant on the meat, baked with mozzarella, the sauce was a creamy tomato sauce. At the first moment, we thought of a confusion and asked the waiter again if this was really our ordered Saltimbocca, then the host came up and immediately started quite unfriendly: yes, surely be the Saltimbocca; be like the house, he can do as he wants. Of course he can do in his restaurant what he wants but if he has dishes on the map, which now let a certain type of preparation be expected, he must expect that the guests are disappointed. His statement, that alla Romana stands only for the fact that it comes from Rome, I think it is simply wrong in my understanding that this is quite the way of preparation. So I could have understood his court if he had called it Saltimbocca alla casa... Well, in fact, speaking to him was unfortunately not in it, because he was directly unfriendly from the beginning. Later on when paying for his question, whether it would have tasted otherwise at least (the food was not inedible, but also definitely not a highlight, I then pointed out again (friendly!) that I was a bit disappointed not to have received my expected dish, whereupon his tirade started even more unfriendly and louder again. That's what we went on. It wasn't done yet! About 15 min. After we left, the inn called me seriously again on my phone, I was pushed on! I have never experienced such an absolute incredibleness! Apart from the fact that this is just a nausea, I also feel this as a misuse of my personal data at the table reservation I have given my number so that the restaurant can contact me there in advance of our visit, if there are any questions or problems, certainly not to call and be pampered afterwards. ♪
We were there with a groupon voucher and had acquaintances ate the à la carte. 2x Rumpsteak Al `Gorgonzola, we asked the nice service whether it is possible to exchange the Rumpsteak for a fillet steak, this was immediately affirmed after we said that we would of course also pay the extra price. According to normal daily ticket a price difference of 1.50 Euro p.P. After a short time, the service came back to the table and said that the cook requires 7,50 euros per person extra charge. Short discussion why, an extra charge is only 1.50 according to the map and now five times to demand only because one is there with a groupon voucher, but rather negative advertising. But the service was not convincing, and from this point in time we were all the guests of the second choice: it was neither asked how to have his steak, nor was a drink completely forgotten, and only on demand did it come, even the waiter had forgotten what drink it is all about. The Rumpsteaks were small, estimated anything between 100 and 130gr., the Filetsteak 1x À la Carte was significantly larger but also no more than about 150gr. As an appetizer came twice the Antipasti Della Casa card price €9 we found totally overpriced for the little not really tasty vegetables, furthermore an antipasti dish was ordered card price €14.50, this was very ok because there were also Vitello Tonnato and 2 Scampi ́s on it. Finally, 2 x mixed desserts were ordered each for 2 persons, Tiramisu was the grotto, a couple of Kleckse Mouse au Chocolat, spray cream from the can and some pudding with fruit sauce, all in all ne smooth 5 MINUS. So dear people from Restaurant Lino, if you want to make advertising groupon coupons and secure regulars, the service should be replaced urgently. We would have understood it without problems if the service had denied our request.
