Bidra med feedbackI ordered the vegan enchiladas that are black beans and sweet potatoes in red enchilada sauce and Spanish rice on the side. there were not very complex flavors and aromas, in the round the components were cooked and baked, and that is that while I prefer more seasoned in my eating. the Spanish rice had a sweet aftertaste, which I had not yet met in Spanish rice and was somehow plump. it is not the Spanish rice they usually get from an authentic Mexican place. I will give them a shot again, but I would not reorder the enchiladas, maybe I would try what the other reviews recommend. so in summary: a bit bland and not what I hoped, but still a decent vegan meal that I didn't have to cook myself and we all know how beautiful this can be
The crispy coconut tofu taco was quite delicious overall. kokosnuss gave him some sweet, pretty tofu pieces. the spicy tofu was missing. pretty bland. no sharp. I'd eat the crispy cocosnus again if I had to.
A long time ago I went to this place before I was vegan. since I became free from my education and vegan a year ago, I did not notice too many places in reno vegan friendly. recently I revisited the menu of buenos and they had added several vegan and vegetarian options for lunch and dinner and breakfast! I tried the sharp tofu burrito and the veggie burrito. the cute were great, it has mushrooms in style of fajita, swirling, paprika and auberginen. the personal even asked when I called to order when I wanted it vegan meaning no cream sauce or butter used to cook something. for a place that is not (and not in the past) vegan concentrated, they do a good job and food taste great. I hope to move them further into the right direction and move to a full vegan menu at some point. I'll try.
Cute Mexican with many vegan options marked clearly on the menu. They introduced new Taco articles for the 2023 Vegan Chef Challenge and they remain on the menu. Oyster mushrooms and cauliflower tacos are delicious. Coconut Tofu is delicious. There are burritos and salads that I still have to try, so I know I'm going back. Staff know to know the nutritional preferences. Owner is very pro vegan and does it best to see, everyone has something good to eat. Great little place with beautiful atmosphere.
My daughter and I tried this restaurant during the 2023 Reno Vegan Chef Challenge! Mexican food is always tricky for vegans, as Lard and chicken broth can often be used in rice and beans and sometimes even tortilla chips. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they already had many additional vegan items on the menu. The coconut Crunchy Tofu was crispy on the outside and very light and fluffy on the inside and the diving sauce was really delicious. I also enjoyed the Baja Cauli Taco and found it really delicious, also my daughter, who normally does not like cauliflowers like this dish. I have heard that all these new items remain on the menu permanently, so I plan to go back and try some different vegan options next time I am in this part of the city.
