Ruby River Steakhouse - Reno

After all these years Ruby River is still a great steak house with good prices and good service ! I have been coming to RR for over 25 years and other then the peanuts on the floor not much has changed . Glad they are staying consistent and the food is still good . I do think that not being able to make a reservation unless you have a party of eight sucks , but overall I will definitely be back .

I recently dined at Ruby River Steakhouse at 2750 S Virginia St, Reno, NV, and ordered the Gorgonzola New York 12 oz steak, priced at $29.99. The steak was aged for 21 days and topped with a Gorgonzola cheese crust. While it was cooked to a nice medium rare as requested, the quality left something to be desired, with quite a bit of fat that detracted from the overall experience. For my sides, I chose the Caesar salad, which was good, and a side of fries. Unfortunately, the fries were a major disappointment they were hard as a rock and almost inedible. Despite the food quality, the service was excellent. The server was super nice, friendly, and provided outstanding customer service throughout the meal. However, based on the overall dining experience, I'm not sure I would return. I might explore other steakhouses in the area next time.

Came in here on a Tuesday night. My steak was super undercooked. I ordered it med to medium well...it came rare. My friend ordered a margarita and it was so bad she sent it back. The french onion soup was very bland. Usually we love coming here but this just wasnt a good experience.

9/27/24: Excellent service by Heather, she was on top of everything!!!! Manager came over to check to see how everything was. Food was very good and the prices were great! Highly recommend Ruby River Steakhouse! We were staying at peppermill and walked over for dinner.

I was not impressed with the food. Service was ok. Prices not bad but I wanted a good steak and it was just average.
