Scoopers - Reno

I have dined at this restaurant a few times and have always had a great experience. When I tried to place an order over the phone tonight, the person on the other line told me to hold on for one minute. I could hear them processing another transaction and then having a conversation. Five minutes later, I was still on hold. After waiting for 20 minutes, I eventually gave up and was unable to place my order.

Have been here numerous times. Always good but this time was perfect. Everything was so clean and tidy from the way the burger was wrapped to how the place looked. Every bite was as tasty as the last and th shake selection is like nowhere else. Tried a blueberry soda for the first time and it was pretty dang good too. ? thumbs up for Scoopers.

The food is tasty, but the quality of the burgers has declined. My main issue is with the sauces - if they charge extra for them, they should be top-notch. The ranch sauce doesn't taste like ranch and resembles sour cream. It lacks the true ranch flavor. The Thousand Island dressing tastes like mayo with a hint of ketchup; it lacks flavor and depth. Overall, the sauces were disappointing and did not enhance the meal as they should have.

I really enjoy the well-grilled chicken sandwich and crispy fries at this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places in Reno for burgers and milkshakes.

I've been eating scoopers for over 30 years. the personal is as friendly as I remember. the place is quite clean and family-friendly. I would give it at least two stars if the quality of food had not decreased so drastically. I haven't eaten here for at least six months. I had sticker shock from the trips, but it is understandable given the supply problems and increased labour costs. not only the double cheeseburgers my wife and I ate unjustly small for the money, the beats were more speary than mcdonald’s. the fries were overwhelmed on everything else. I am a great supporter of local businesses. to the owners of scoopers: if they want to pass on their cost, they do not ruin the quality of their eating. I'll return in the near future to see if today was anomaly. if mediocrity is acceptable, then I will finally stop coming. I'll spend a few more dollars and eat at juicy instead. fyi: You make a service by having such a split menu. decide when they are a burger or a applebee. with such an extensive menu that includes hot dogs, tacos, burritos, chicken fingers and nachos, they have lost their focus. it is a recipe for bad quality food not to mention a large amount of waste. you can do better.
