Bidra med feedbackI ordered the sausage, which was 33,000, and came with 1 sausage, a large part of the sliced potatoes cooked in a skill with onions and herb. The sausage was very good, but only a sausage for 33,000? My daughter ordered a sample plate with mushrooms, red cabbage, the same sliced potatoes and salad for about 24,000. A Erdinger beer was 24,000. They gave us 3 pieces of bread and a total of 104,000. They also take credit cards. I've eaten all over Germany and the USA and that's disappointing. But the service was very good.
You are located in Retiro in the same mall as Parilla de Paucho and Trivilis opposite the street of Exito. We arrived on Sunday and being German, I really wanted to check German food. The menu was very easy with 2 types of sausage, smoked trout and ham Hock. We decided to share one of the sausage plates, the 31.500. It came with sauerkraut and a bunch of pan roasted potatoes. Many calories and fat. The food was good, but nothing was incredible. The service was good, but no one came to clean the table when we were done. No one offered us beer after we finished our first beers. We had Pilsen the local beer and I think it was 5000 COP. You had German beers, but you could buy the same beer at Carulla in Rionegro. They also take credit cards.
Excellent service and good authentic German cuisine, the pork chops are delicious, the sauerkraut and sautéed potatoes are also very good, the mustard is homemade and they also sell it if you want to take something home, also the German sausage sooo good, they must species, both are great, they also have homemade maize bread soo yummy, they have a large selection of German beers and Alba.
When I go out to eat, I like to try different types of food. Most of the restaurants in Colombia serve paisa food (parilla grilled meats, a baked potato, and an arepa). As such, I'm always looking for international restaurants which attempt to create the food served in their respective countries. While Opa & Oma may not be the food I had while eating in restaurants in the Black Forest in Germany, it does provide travelers with an alternative in eating. After having the Goulash and apple cake/pie yesterday, I'd say that the restaurant is a nice place to have a hearty meal while visiting El Retiro. While the goulash tasted a little bland, it was still a change from the typical eateries in the area. I think the best part of the meal for me was the sauerkraut and red cabbage. I've missed it. The apple pie was like an apple cake. It was good, and different, but certainly not a strudel. I had a black beer made in Colombia as the prices for imported beers were not worth the price. Overall, I'd visit the restaurant again as it is close to where I live, and the food is a welcome change to the many restaurants that serve the same type of parilla food.
