Bidra med feedbackI had a Christmas dinner in this restaurant. Excellent service and food was great. It is attached to the Hilton Hotel, which makes it very comfortable.
Vox Restaurant is a nice place to eat when you stay at the hotel, but I wouldn't come here if I lived somewhere else. The service is friendly and efficient and the food is good. We all had the lobster soup for the appetizers and it was delicious, and the bread and the homemade butter enjoyed the soup wonderful. We had the vegan burger, the entrecôte and the winter vegetables for dinner. The entrecôte was perfectly cooked and delicious. The winter vegetables are also delicious, although the pumpkin is a little undercooked and the part on the small side. The vegan burger was the perfect size and very good, but the pommes were terrible-I would replace the next time I had in the bar earlier a week. We had the sweets and the raspberry dessert. The licorice mousse was delicious and so was the raspberry sorbet, but in my opinion the sorbet exaggerated the mousse that was a shame. We had water, cocktails and a beer with dinner and they were all wonderful. On weekends I propose to book a table, and even on weekdays the restaurant can be very full. The Hilton Nordic Bar has Happy Hour 4-6pm every day, which is a popular way to dinner.
Not exactly sure how this place is on the Michael Star Restaurant list. I am not one in restaurants that are connected to hotels (more often than not they Duden), but after a long day of traveling and reviewing to the Hilton I thought it was a low stress and a good meal. I was wrong. Could have been one of the worst burgers I've eaten lately. The meat was so overcooked, it was dry and blue as I fell in. The autumn salad ordered my companion (feeds a chicken breast) it came raw. It doesn't match a Michelin quality. If you are interested in a large meal, I would recommend using Reykjavik cuisine. Was by far one of the best meals I had during a holiday in Iceland.
Staying in Nordica and was exhausted from the trip so instead of walking in downtown I stayed at the hotel restaurant and I am glad that I did. The lamb was exquisite, like the wine varieties. Ruth was attentive and was a very pleasant server. I never drank. I'm looking forward to a day.
Food is decent. But not worth the price. Service is TERRIBLE. It takes so long to get food and drink. One of our friends had to ask three times for a drink he ordered at the same time as the rest of us. The meat was raw when asked for medium. All the food came out at different times, some of us had finished eating by the time other plates came out. This was a birthday dinner for my uncle and I and I noted it in the reservation but they treated us like second class. We got a terrible table and asked to be moved and they acted like we insulted them. Lamb was terrible compared to other places we have eaten at. When we asked for dessert to be boxed because we wanted to leave after being there for 2 hours the waiter laughed and pointed at us with the other staff. This was supposed to be our high end eating experience and it felt like the opposite. Out of our whole trip in iceland, this place was the worst and was a terrible choice for my birthday dinner. They need to be removed from the Michelin list.
