El Pollo Dorado - Rialto

We usually order the chicken package, which includes either 2 or 3 whole chickens along with sides and tortillas. Their prices are among the lowest around—far less than half of what you'd pay at El Pollo Loco for the same quantity of food. Their mild salsa reminds me of Pollo Loco's house salsa; it’s flavorful without being too spicy, which is exactly how I like it. My husband feels that their green (spicy) salsa is also quite good. We visit about once every two weeks, getting a package deal that feeds 4-5 people for the week. The chicken, potato salad, and beans are consistently delicious and always taste the same. Their chickens are cooked in large rotisserie ovens, so anyone who claims they're dry is mistaken—it's nearly impossible to dry out chicken in these machines on a timer. My uncle introduced us to this place ten years ago, and we've been regulars ever since. If they would change their rice recipe to something tomato-based, we would probably come every week instead of every two weeks. On a side note, I should mention that on Tuesday evenings, they offer two whole chickens with tortillas (your choice of corn or flour) and either hot or mild salsa for under $20 (I think it’s around $18 total), but sides are extra. Sorry for the long review—I just really love this place, especially considering how picky I am! If you enjoy chicken, you absolutely have to give this place a try… just don’t go on Tuesday nights. I prefer it when it’s not crowded!

But the real star here is undoubtedly the chicken. Jose, who has been running this restaurant since 2004, does an incredible job of preparing and serving it. It would be hard to find anyone who can cook chicken better than Jose and his team. Give them a try and let yourself be amazed by their remarkable skills in the kitchen and on the rotisserie!

I saw this place online. Placed a phone order with a super nice girl. She was exposed and disinfected. Smelled super clean in there. Couldn't smell the chicken. I came home. Chicken looks and tastes bomb. I'm glad I was over. The prices were super reasonable. Would come back.

The chicken is fantastic, and the red salsa is incredibly spicy—just the way I love it! The potato salad is amazing too. Everything is beautifully presented, and the prices are very reasonable.
