Great happy hour... great food... not as loud as a few places, you can really talk here. 5 stars...

After a night of terrible service, American Tap Room literally tried me to Robert. I had to find a manager after 45 minutes from anyone who comes to our table, my no drinks refills, offer for additional purchases or attempts to get the bill, so that I could pay my tab after one night incredibly slow service. I gave a little tip with a note that they need to do better. The waiter chose to add a 0 to my $2 tip to make it a $20 tip! Unbelievable! It is a shame, because the food was actually quite good and they had a nice drink menu, but I will never return to this establishment and would discourage someone else to put themselves in danger of being torn out.

Their happy hour and lunch special prices are incredible, and everything tastes fresh and housemade. After years of consuming only the best burgers money could buy, I have finally found the perfect burger on the lunch special menu. I am genuinely addicted to the Taproom Burger, and this is no exaggeration. I would give ATR more stars if I could. I will eat a burger here as often as my measly college freshman money can afford me. Please, visit ATR. Eat that burger. You will never eat another restaurant's burger again. Shake Shack and its prices are garbage compared to this burger. Honestly, half the reason I'm not considering a transfer application to UT Austin is this perfect burger. God, I love ATR. This review isn't even ironic I've been thinking about this burger and fries the entire weekend it's been two days

I was disappointed with this restaurant. It used to be great before the pandemic and was a nice alternative to northside. However, since then, the hours are not really suitable for a bar. I keep checking to see if things have returned to normal, but it doesn't seem likely anymore.

Six of us went for lunch after an event at UTD...after deciding and ordering, the only waitress disappeared, coming back to tell us that half our orders were not available...so no beer cheese sauce, no shrimp, no pretzel bites. Reordered...Beer came and mine was flat. Next thing we see some guy at the beer station filling up buckets of beer and dumping them. Only a few beers available. Food staggered out, two at a time. By the time the last order came..we were mostly done. And it was mostly apps! No explanation or apology offered...very strange!
