Bidra med feedbackI have intended to visit this spot for many years now, oops. I never knew that the were on diners, drive ins, and dives, but they have memorabilia that says Guy ate here, which is super kool. Since it was dark outside when I stopped, I couldn 't tellyou if they always have the lights dim, but I loved the darkness. Often enough I can be overwhelmed by the lighting in arestaurant, but here there is enough light to see and nothing extra. I love it. The building is eye catching because it isrotated 45° off parallel to the street. And the entrance is floor to ceiling glass windows and doors. Its hard to tell but theroof might be higher in the front than in the back, and it looks inviting, and interesting. (This does mean however that theparking lot is interesting to navigate. I think that there is only 1 driveway entrance to it, so be patient with other drivers,as those who were there tonight were patient with me . The strawberry gelatina was a new menu item for me. It seems like theyflavored flan with strawberry and floated other translucent flavored cubes of jelly in it. It was great. Since it was allgelatine based components the texture was smooth and the same, unlike fruit salad gelatine where the bits of fruit often gethard, or are something to bite into in between gelatine slurps. Try one of you haven 't already. Torta Pastor wow. That 's anamazing sandwich. I think I 'm going to get pastor so much more often now. Wow. The avocado, the cheese, the crunchy pastor (porkshoulder , the bread, yum. Comfort food that won 't knock you on your back. Jarritos is tasty, and I often treat myself to itwhen I 'm at a spot that sells it. But I have learned that the juice bubbling away in the machines (chillers? by the register(s are often times so tasty. So I 'll have to get that another time. And the perfect portion of chips in a baggie was a greatsurprise to find. Often times there can be too many at other spots, but they got the amount correct here. The ha
Overall we did enjoy the food. I tried 5 different tacos and my husband got the taco salad bowl. It is a very busy spot so the wait time was long when it came to ordering and waiting for food. The seating is very limited so better off calling or orderingonline. The parking lot is very limited so it's hard to get in and out when the parking lot is full. The grocery side of thestore was amazing. They had all sorts of Mexican food items to choose from like bread, fresh produce, candy, drinks, cannedgoods, household items, deli, ECT. It truly brought me back to when I was a kid in my grandma's house. I would definitely goback just for the grocery store side for sure.
By far my favorite restaurant in Minnesota! The best quality streets tacos round and a comfortable Spanish market next door for all your cooking needs or just a variety of cold drinks or fresh baked goods
Great food. Order at the counter and they call you up when ready. The parking lot is very tiny and a bit of a cluster but the food was worth it.
Fantastic service in the restaurant with really delicious food. One star deduction only due to the market side having subpar service. I was ignored by staff despite workers making eye contact, just refusing to even interact until I spoke up. I will stick to ordering from restaurant side, but the Mexican rice is cheaper via the market side they say.
