Z & Y Shanghai Seafood Cuisine

Z Y Shanghai Cuisine is situated in the same building as the recently opened Walmart on Garden City in Richmond. It appears to be a new establishment, so my family and I decided to give it a try. It is conveniently located next to Nando's and opposite Darumaya, the Japanese grocery store where they sell deliciously soft mochi.

The only dish I would recommend is the xiao long bao. It was great! However, all the other dishes remain less desirable. None of them hit the mark and I believe I've had better Shanghainese cuisine elsewhere in Richmond.Also the wait time between the appetizers and the main dishes were ridiculous. I think we waited almost 50 minutes...

This restaurant is newly opened which offers the best Shanghai cuisine. We had dinner and 2 lunches in 5 days. The waitresses and waiters were attentive and professional. Food was great value and top notch taste. The very best (can't find it anywhere else) was the Chinese Donut.Try this restaurant and you will not be disappointed.

My family usually eat here weekly, it's some of the best Shanghai food I've had, and hands down the best in the Richmond area. Awesome dim sum and very affordable! Their fried dumplings are great value and quality for either eating in or taking out.I have been to this place different times, Servers were always awesome and on top of everything for all tables. Food came out consistently without taking too long. If you like traditional Shanghai food and are in the area be sure to check this place out!

This is located at no 3 rd, lots of parking behind, busy, good service. I love that chicken with wine sauce as well as juicy Xiao loong Bao. But the main course red wine duck that highly recommended was disaster. Super salty without taste of wine and presentation look nausea. That need to be improved.
