8 ½ In The Fan - Richmond

I ordered two potato leek soups and was extremely disappointed. The soup was watered down and thin, with no leeks and very little flavor. It's my favorite soup in town, and this experience did not live up to my expectations. I think I'll stick to Church Hill instead.

This restaurant serves excellent pizza. The menu is straightforward, but the quality is outstanding. I usually go for the classic pepperoni, but this time I decided to add some sausage for a little extra flavor.

Without a doubt, the best pizza in town! Place your order, then head next door to Scoop for a delicious ice cream appetizer while you wait. Once your pizza is ready, you can savor the best pie in Richmond. Absolutely fantastic!

Authentic Italian style food right in The Fan. You'll smell the fresh herbs and spices as soon as you walk in. And the food does not disappoint. The tomato bisque was exactly how the style should be hearty, flavorful and thick. Not watery like you get elsewhere. Cooked in front of me in a saucepan, made to order. Underrated spot I'd highly recommend.
