East King - Richmond

I find this Chinese and Thai restaurant to be quite average. Personally, I think they use too much broccoli in their dishes. On the positive side, they are relatively quick, conveniently located with good operating hours, offer a wide variety of menu items, and have reasonable prices. Overall, it's just okay.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on all the positive reviews, and after contemplating my visit for weeks, I was left feeling that the food was neither terrible nor particularly delicious—just okay. The sweet and sour chicken came with its own sauce, while the sesame chicken was cooked in sauce and included broccoli. I attempted to enhance the rice's flavor by mixing it with the sesame chicken and sauce, but I think they should consider pouring the sesame sauce over the rice to liven it up, instead of serving plain rice with onions. They need to be more generous with the sauce. I took the bus home and after nearly two hours, it was almost 8 pm on a chilly, dark night, but the food was still quite hot. The staff here work hard and are friendly, so I’d hate to leave a negative review. It seemed like the cooks were rushing through the orders to finish quickly; there were only two or three cooks working at the time, and I had six people ahead of me in line. The cashier mentioned a 30-minute wait, but my food was ready in about 15 minutes. I’m willing to be patient if it means getting more flavorful food. I’ll give them another chance and try something different next time. The service was good, but the food was average, which is why I’m giving a neutral review: 3 out of 5 stars.

Shrimp Pad Thai is absolutely my favorite dish. I've only visited this restaurant a few times, and I really regret not trying it sooner. The staff is professional and friendly, and the service is quick without sacrificing any flavor in the process.

They're good what they're doing. Fresh food, call ahead when you're in a hurry. Other then... no complaints!

I found this place. The food is good and always hot. The owner has a good customer service. The building is clean. The prices are good.
