Hogshead Cafe - Richmond

If you're looking for an authentic Southern cuisine experience, this place is the perfect choice. From the sweet tea and limeades to chili cheese fries, the Hog Sampler, hush puppies, blackberry cobbler, and banana pudding, there's a lot to love on the menu. I can't forget to mention the crab cakes and catfish either! We left feeling completely stuffed, and I must add that the barbecue and hot wings were also fantastic. It was a lot of food, but we had an amazing time. Make sure to visit Hogshead Cafe for the ultimate Southern dining experience!

I've discovered my new favorite appetizer: the Hogsheads Crab Pretzel! It's incredibly cheesy and delicious. I also tried the Fried Pickles, Catfish Reuben, and Buffalo Oyster Poboy, and they were all fantastic! You definitely need to go and try them!

I remember an old coworker recommending this place to me. When I moved to the West End, it was one of the first spots I ordered from, and I have to say…YUM! I’ve tried a few items from the menu, but the beer cheese crab pretzel is absolutely phenomenal—it’s massive, too! Another favorite of mine is the chicken tikka tacos with a side of ranch. I love introducing friends to this restaurant when they come to visit. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area!

Must-visit in Richmond! We came on a Sunday, was pretty busy and they’re a little understaffed but they handled it with such grace! Quick service, incredible food. We ordered the hog dog and hog burger. Edith, the bartender turned my dreams of a blackberry limeade into real life and it was AMAZING. Thank you!!
