Maya - Richmond

I visited this restaurant around 1:30 PM on October 8th and I'm finally posting my review. I sat at the bar and started with a cocktail that I can’t quite remember the name of—something Kentucky, I think. It was a unique tropical-style drink made with bourbon, and it was absolutely delicious! The bartender was really friendly, even though she seemed to question my cocktail choices. As for the food, it was also fantastic! I ordered Korean tacos with pork belly and kimchi rice. I especially loved the kimchi rice and now I kind of regret filling up on it before finishing my tacos.

The fajitas are not worth the price. I paid $20 and received an entire onion and only half a pepper. They also forgot the guacamole and crema, despite my request for no beans. This place seems more suited for professionals looking to enjoy happy hour rather than for enjoying fajitas.

Fantastic! Service was excellent! Drinks well made. Did not have the one dark Mexican beer my husband wanted. Atmosphere was cool. Food very tasty and just what we wanted before a show. Can't wait to return. Caroline was one of our bartenders. The gentleman never introduced himself and was not quite as interactive but made a good Maria's Margarita.

I 've given this place the benefit of the doubt several times over the years but at the end of the day: it 's a reasonable place for happy hour apps and drinks, maybe. Tonight 's bone-in-chicken enchiladas were the final nail in the nowhere near the price they charge verdict. That said, the staff is great. A lot of potential, just hasn 't yet been realized.

This is a fantastic restaurant! The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and they have an excellent selection of drinks. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Initially, I was a bit let down by the speed of the food delivery, but once I tasted it, I realized it was all fresh and truly flavorful. It's definitely a place you should visit!
