The White Swan - Richmond Upon Thames

The dining experience at The White Swan was beautiful, with a charming setting next to the river. We opted to sit outside to take advantage of the pleasant weather and lovely view. The service was efficient, with our food arriving promptly and the waitress being friendly. We decided to try the Scampi and Chips, but unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. It didn't look very appealing and the Scampi was undercooked. After speaking with the waitress, we were offered a replacement dish which was much better. Overall, the food was a letdown during this visit to The White Swan. However, I did enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and was able to toast to my Birthday.

We were searching for a pub by the river between Staines and Richmond to meet up with some old friends. After scouting out several options, we found this to be our favorite. The pub is beautifully decorated with flower baskets, the staff is friendly and courteous, the drinks are reasonably priced for a Twickenham pub in a prime location, and the food is of excellent quality and reasonably priced as well. The service was exceptional and the beers were well maintained, with the server knowledgeable about real ales. Overall, a real winner in every aspect.

Lovely place for a drink. Quick service, friendly people and a really nice place to sit outside by the river. Would recommend.

Been going to this pub for 40 years and without a doubt it’s got better. Brought back so many memories, food was excellent, recommend the fish and chips.

An interesting pub that is set high up due the tide coming in along the River Thames. Quite small inside although there is a beer garden which is in use when the tide is out! Staff were great and had time to explain the tidal location even though I'm sure they are repeating themselves frequently! Drinks were great. The toilets are on ground level and will likely flood at very high tides. We had to go back later in the day to see the tide come in. Great excuse for being stuck in the pub!
