H Mart San Jose De Anza - Ridgefield

Usually a nice place to shop but there are so many bugs near the produce section… Bought romaince lettuce the other day and there were at least 5 small dead flies in there. Its hard to see in the photo but if you don’t believe me, go buy romaince lettuce from there. Also, my friend used to work here and said there were a few birds that showed up in the back where they keep all the products…

I went there this morning to pick up takeout for lunch and also to satisfy my craving for Soondae. I was really disappointed with how it was served. It wasn't cut properly, was scattered all over, and I had to eat it with a spoon.

The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and offers a spacious layout with a wide variety of items. The aisles are roomy, making it easy to navigate. There’s a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with plenty of fresh meats available. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I bought 2 pounds of frozen snow crab legs because the fresh ones I saw were brown and looked old. When I got home, I noticed something was wrong right away; as soon as I removed the plastic wrap, there was a faint but unpleasant smell. I went ahead and steamed them anyway, but when I took a bite, they smelled strongly of ammonia. It was disgusting, and I had to throw everything out. I suspect they left the seafood at room temperature for too long, and once it started to decompose, they decided to freeze it. This is not only disgusting but also a serious health hazard. I will never purchase their contaminated seafood again, and I hope the health department looks into this.

I can finally find the Asian foods I crave without having to travel to NYC. However, I was really disappointed with my last visit when I purchased one of their grocery bags. The seams started coming apart after less than a month of use. Generally, I find that Korean products are more durable than Chinese ones, but this bag didn't hold up at all.
