Bidra med feedbackThe best thing that ever came to the neighborhood!!! Best sandwiches....you can't go wrong with any!!! Small space but cozy.....you just feel real comfortable!! Best sandwiches: The New Yorker, The Ranchero and the Fully Loaded!! And in the hot summer ......their fresh brewed iced teas are the best!!!
I went twice in a row bc I was so excited to try their biscuits but they didn't have any one the first day I went, and I was pretty disappointed by both breakfast sandwiches I got.The bacon in the New Yorker was incredibly burnt that it wasn't really edible, so I ended up crumbling the bits away. And there was way too much cheese in proportion to the rest of the ingredients. The bagel however was a pretty decent bagel. The Southerner was somehow really bland and salty at the same time. The biscuit, while good and crispy, was super salty, which was weird bc the the sausage gravy was the most blandest gravy I've ever eaten. Eating it all together gave weird bursts of salt.I'd probs go back for the biscuits themselves and nothing else.
Norma’s is the best and may be one of my top 3 places to get breakfast. They have incredible sandwiches and don’t forget to get something sweet. Although the wait sometimes is long (like weekends), it is 1000% worth it!!! I love you Norma’s!!!!
Ridgewoods changing and so has Normas. I moved into the neighborhood 10 years ago and have been a long time customer here. I miss the old days when the pastries were made in house and the sandwiches were of better quality. It used to be a real local hang out with seating and atmosphere and friendly familiar staff. The massive gentrification that has happened to the neighborhood is AWFUL. Filled with young white 20 somethings who recently transplanted from the Midwest. Something about new comers to NY, they love to have attitude, They think that’s what it means to be a New Yorker. Anyways I went in there yesterday for the last time. Sandwiches have shrunk in size and quality (I hade one piece of bacon on my breakfast sandwich and the bread was burnt). I can’t believe i paid $8 for this hockey puck of a sandwich (shrinkflation). The person working was some young gen Z and had a major attitude problem. No warmth or friendliness there anymore. Completely cold and detached. They renovated it to look like every other trendy coffee shop. Welcome to the new dimes square. YUCK. I think the owners have very little to do with it now. Used to be a community spot. Won’t be returning and happy I recently moved out of this neighborhood- completely being destroyed and it’s a shame.
What a cute spot! I had a large group eating and we put our order in online. Everyone was able to get something they wanted between the sandwiches and the pastries, and the vegan options were great too. Even though they were understandably really busy at noon on a Sunday, I think our order got out at a reasonable time.I wish I'd gotten the name of the two people who helped us today behind the counter. They were both so sweet and really helpful! So we had a great first experience and look forward to coming back to try orders other reviewers recommend.
