Fjordgaarden - Ringkoebing-Skjern

A nice hotel I stayed at when we had a seminar at work. The breakfast buffet was great with alot og options. The room I had was good, there was a capsule coffee machine in the room, and the shower/bathroom was nice.

Older nicely refurbished hotel with spa and EV charger. We had a two night Ro(calm) for two stay with a course meal both nights and a Vonå room overlooking the river and surrounding marshlands. The room was sufficient but not luxurious in any way. The bed is two single beds put together but without an common top mattress so there's a gap down the middle. Not all that comfortable. Quilts and pillows below standard. Noisy heater. Restaurant was OK both nights and our main gripe was the vegetarian dish the first night which was prefabricated plant based nuggets. Second night was Zander fillet wich was delicious. The delicious cooking was somewhat let down by very inexperienced waiting staff. Breakfast was good and big points for all the food being organic. The spa is the reason for stars over Lots of variety and a really luxurious feel. saunas and a rooftop C pool for stargazing. Wonderful. Can recommend however at the premium price point it's done better at other hotels. If you're into spa Fjordgaarden might still be for you.

Reason for the low rating is because it's very expensive, rooms are very small and does not have AC or minibar if you are not willing to pay for one nights stay. The view are non existing either, despite the name Fjordgården. Quitenes are their logo, but while we where staying there building work started at o'clock in the morning. We recommend taking a B&B in Hvide Sande which will be cheaper and with more adventures, cozy dining places etc.
