Elk Mt. Bbq - RISING SUN

The Brisket and Pulled Pork on this food truck is amazing. So juicy and tender. Better than Bolen's, Chap's, and maybe even Jake's on Falls Rd. Edit w/ major complaint and changing this to a one star review: After trying this food we contacted the owner, Jim Pennell, to book him to cater our wedding reception in June 2017. After many emails, phone calls and even a taste test to try other things off the menu we then discussed options for our event. We received a quote and emailed a few times to tweak a few menu items we wanted/ didn't want to get a final price so we could book. Then out of now where Jim decided to not respond to our emails. Very unprofessional. For someone who just started catering this past year I am shocked they would turn down a $2500 event. I guess they just don't care about their business. However, the food is very good. so as long as you don't need catering by all means enjoy the food.

Just had the Pit Beef Sandwich, BBQ Ranch Chicken Wrap with Mac Cheese and Old Bay Fries... AMAZING!!!!!! Best food I've had from a food truck yet! Can't wait to stop by again.

Great food and great people behind the company. The brisket is out of this world and all the sides including fries and slaw are just as good! The only legit food truck in the area in my opinion!
